the dock and an Inspiration Book.

Here's a new scrap page I made last night.

And here is an Inspiration Book I made out of all of my scrapbook magazines. If you're like me, you just cannot walk by a scrap mag with out buying it. This makes for a lot of used up storage space for a bunch of mags that I don't look at anymore.

I really didn't want to just pitch them because, let's face it, I bought the mag for a reason once upon a time and they cost a butt load. So my solution was to go through them all (roughly 120 mags) and cut out the pages that inspire me.

I pasted them into a plain sketch book and added notations about what caught my eye. I then separated all the pages and bound the book together with a coil using my Cinch. The dumb thing I did, however, was to cut off the credit of who made the dang page. I'm a dolt. I usually take pride in giving credit to whomever inspired me so I feel like an asshole. Mental note to keep them the next time I paste something into my book from the next scrap mag I am sure to purchase. It's a sickness, really.

Logan and Skyler's Travel Colouring Kits

I've seen these things all over Pinterest but none of the ones I found tutorials to had the dimensions I wanted or the sturdy velcro flaps I wanted so I just came up with my own version. Let me know if it's something that interests you and I may make a tutorial for it. They're not too fussy to make and they'd make a great gift. My kids were over the moon when I gave them theirs.

Both of them have a rather homely looking name badge on them. My embroidery by machine technique could use some help. LOL!

Logan's was the first one I made and I didn't make as many crayon slots for his.

I added more slots for Sky's.

Beach Chair Detachable Pocket with Key Clasp

We recently bought some cool new beach chairs that are super comfy. We've had our old foldable camping chairs for so long that it was time for a change. What I really missed from the old chairs was the pocket for putting cell phones, keys, books and such into so they don't get sand in them.

So, I figured, hey! I'm crafty and stuff. Why don't I make them for our new chairs? So I did.

Pretty nifty, eh? I love the turtles, too. Now my Kindle and Blackberry shall be safe from the sand. Ske-doosh.

Day Five of Dare to Get Dirty

Almost done!

The above card was inspired by a scrapbook page in a scrap mag that, unfortunately, I've already cut up and    placed in my inspiration book without the name attached.

Day Three of Dare to Get Dirty

I'm running behind! It's too nice outside and for the first time this summer, I'm kind of wishing for rain. It would make it so much easier to be in the scraproom if it were crappy out. : )
