Me, Myself & I
A while back I had posted that I was going to try to get healthier. In all honesty, I haven't done a whole helluva lot about that statement since I said it. More time has passed and more weight has come on. And now I'm ready to be serious about it. I've stepped down from my design teams and will be posting to my blog still but in a much more simple way. Basically, when I make something, I'll still post it but it's going to be more for a visual record of my projects. Not much blah blah. I love blogging and I love the people I have met through doing it. What I don't love, however, is the time it takes to do it. I keep telling myself that I don't have time for anything yet I spend literally hours a week on blogging. Not quite conducive to my want of a smaller bum, eh?
I'll still be around...just not as often. Ske-doosh.

I cheated on this challenge. A lot. I know that I'm supposed to stick to SUO for our SR challenges but this kinda went it's own way, y'know? This week's challenge is to make something recycled. I've been waiting forever to do something with these bags I kept from a gift my sweet husband gave me. This mini album smells SOOOOO gooooood. I plan on adding a lot more to it but I think this is a pretty good start, eh?
Head over to the Stampin' Royalty Challenge blog to check out what the ladies have recycled this week. Ske-doosh.

CCREW0312CF- Clear Flower
stamps: flower fest, quelques lignes
ink: red, olive, turquoise, craft white, black
paper: window sheets, red, turq, olive, white, and crumb CS
accessories: scallops duo die, stripes embossing folder, rhinestones, blender pen, black marker
This was a great challenge...we had to use a product from page 216 of the catalog. So, this month show us how you use the cork, magnet, On Board, wood or window sheets. I went with the window sheets and I think it has a pretty darn cool effect when embossed.
I'm off to clean up the basement because my 14 year old nephew is coming to stay for the week! The boys are SO excited to have their big cousin here. It's going to be a hoot! Ske-doosh.

Did you know that crafting can reduce stress, build self-esteem and increase physical dexterity? In fact, recent studies from NYU and Harvard have shown that activities ranging from scrapbooking to knitting can actually improve concentration, while enhancing health and mental wellness. “There is nothing more satisfying than creating something on your own. “The activity is not only engaging, it’s fulfilling on so many different levels. Plus, there are so many ways to approach crafting. There is literally something for everyone.
CCREW0312DF, CreativeCrew, SUO or SUM -- DSP/Color Focus: March Flower of the month: Daffodil & Jonquils - In honor of the March flower of the month, use this color combo: Daffodil Delight, So Saffron, Blushing Bride, with any neutrals of your choice.
CCREW0312CF, CreativeCrew, SUO or SUM -- Catalog focus: We've used a lot of DSP but we haven't focused on page 216 of the catalog! So this month show us how you use the cork, magnet, On Board, wood or window sheets.
CCREW0312HF, CreativeCrew, SUO or SUM -- Holiday focus: Let's celebrate national crafting month! Pull that idea you've been "wanting to do" out and create it. You can use any theme, maybe you have an Easter project, maybe you have a decor or centerpiece idea, maybe you've been wanting to do something with fabric? Any theme is okay, but show us your artistic, creative, involved crafty side.
CCREW0312SF, CreativeCrew, SUO or SUM -- Scrapbook focus: Use the attached layout and show us a Bright, cheerful, happy page to celebrate spring's arrival. It doesn't have to be about spring, just colorful, cheery, and it just has to make you smile. : )
