Inspirations Sketch Challenge #63- Coucou Hibou

Here's the sketch:

And here's my card:

I made this card to go with the felt owl from this post a couple of weeks back. Like how it matches the owl? Yeah, I'm clever. ; ) I think the Owl punch is going to go down as one of my all-time fave purchases from SU! It's impossible to make an uncute card with it. Is "uncute" even a word?

Things are rolling along nicely here at Casa Côté. The end of term is upon us so things are quite busy at work but I'm feeling good with the way things are going. I'm really looking forward to spring. Many of you are already experiencing it but we're still buried in snow. My Croc flip flops look at me with longing but I must ignore their pitiful pleas. *sigh* Soon enough, I guess.

You *have* to see the beauties the DT chicks have come up with this week! You just gots tuh! Ske-doosh.

Inkspirations Colour Challenge #62- Hello Baby

Here's the combo:

And here's my card:

First things first: Someone kick me in the shins for the poor quality of this photo.

Do you know where I took this photo? In the cupboard of my kitchen. It's late. The light bulb on my photo lamp burnt out. I'm resourceful. I tried to edit it to make the Regal Rose actually *look* like Regal Rose. No luck.*sigh* I'm going to bed.

Check out the rest of the DT's blogs and leave them some love. They're so good at what they do. SKe-doosh.

Inkspirations Sketch Challenge #61- Sew Cute

Here's the sketch:

And here's my card:

stamps: sew suite, simple serif alpha
paper: mambo, turquoise, espresso white, DSP
ink: mambo, turquoise, espresso, white craft
accessories: daffodil pom pom ribbon, 1/2" corner rounder, fabric brads, 1" and 1 3/8" circle punch, pewter safety pin, espresso marker

I really like this sketch. It's great for showcasing patterned paper. I think it'll be part of my regular rotation! LOL! Every day when I get home from work, in my head, I'm planning what I'm going to stamp that evening. And every evening, after all is said and done and the kids are in bed...I'm exhausted. I never seem to get the gumption to go and stamp. I think I'm going to have to go for blood tests to have my thyroid levels checked again. It's not normal how tired I am. Poor me, eh? LOL!

Can I just say how awesome all the participants of the Inkspiration Challenges are? Keep playing along and showing us your mad, mad skills! : ) Make sure to visit the DT's blogs and leave them some love! Ske-doosh.

Felt Owl...

Cutest. Thing. EVER!

Here's a close-up of my mad stiching skills. *narf*

Is this not the cutest owl EVER??? I came upon this blog post done by Anj at Snowy Bliss. The sheer awesomeness of the party she threw for her 6 year old daughter truly knocks my socks off and makes me question my craft prowess. LOL! You simply must check it out.

So, given that Anj had a great response to her sweet owls, she decided to make a PDF tutorial for sale. It's only $6 so I jumped all over that bad boy like a fat kid on Smarties. You're probably asking yourself, "Hey! Where can I buy the tutorial for this wicked awesome felt owl?!" Look no further, dear readers...here 'tis.

I couldn't be happier with the tute as it's really well made. Mosey on over and check it out! Ske-doosh.

Some rubber hugs from stampin' friends...

It never ceases to amaze me how stamping and scrapping have changed my life. I have met the most wonderful, creative, caring, and inspirational women through this art form. Many of them have started out as Internet friends but they have become so much more to me. I've had the pleasure of getting to know them well as time passes. I can't imagine *not* knowing these amazing women and hope that the day never comes where I don't.

One of the fun things about having a blog (and the main reason I started it 3 years ago) is that I get to look back on my progress as a stamper/ scrapper. One of the awesome side effects of having a blog is having my readers stop by and check out my stuff. It's a great feeling to know that I inspire other stampers. I'm inspired by so many and it's heartwarming to be recognized by people I admire.

I've had the pleasure of being nominated for a blog awards by some stampers I greatly admire. I really appreciate the shout out, ladies. Big, fat rubber hugs to you all. I'm going to stray from the pack and just list the ladies who gave me the award. I hope that's alright. : ) Please stop by their blogs and check out their beautiful paper delights.  Ske-doosh.
