Inkspirations Colour Challenge #50- Milk Carton Gâterie

Here's the colour combo.

stamps: friandises (got candy), seeing stars
paper: pear, razzleberry, turquoise, white
ink: pear, razzleberry, turquoise, black pens
accessories: milk carton die, buttons, linen thread, shimmer paint

My mojo has taken another vacation. I couldn't come up with anything! Not because I don't love this color combo (because I do!) but because my mind is elsewhere this week. I tried to paint on some shimmer paint on the matting around the sentiment but it came out weird. It looks like silver paper now...it's actually pear! (shrug) I've got a crop this weekend so I'm going to make a second attempt at this awesome color combo...until then, I shall hang my head in shame. LOL!

Make sure to head over to the rest of the DT's blog's to tell them how awesome they are. Also, make something purdy and link it back to the Inkspirations Challenge Blog! Ske-doosh.

Inkspirations Sketch Challenge #49- Blushingly Cute

This is the sketch for this week.

stamps: a cute christmas
paper: candy cane christmas DSP, blushing bride CS, shimmery white CS
ink: baja, wasabi, pear, daffodil, choc. chip, real red, black
accessories: ovals die, corduroy buttons, assorted ribbons, iridescent ice embossing powder,
paper crêper, black marker, dimensionals

I really liked the way the focal point on this card turned out and I regret having stuck it to the card. I should have made it a magnet for the fridge or something. Ah well...next time. As far as the colors go on this card, I was pleasantly surprised with the blushing bride card base! It's not a Christmas-y looking Christmas card. I might just have to make a few more cards with this combo!

It has been a long week and I'm looking forward to having a couple of days off. I think I posted pretty much the same thing last week, too! LOL! Logan has a father/son hockey tournament this weekend so that should be a hoot to watch him play with his papa. The little monkey had Scarlett fever, of all things, this week. He stayed home with Phil today as to not infect any of his classmates and, so far, we've been lucky that he hasn't infected Skyler. I almost wish that I catch it so I could take a couple of days off from work... ; )

Head over to the rest of the team's blogs to check out what rubbery goodness they cranked out this week:

A self-CASE...

stamps: all holidays, delightful decorations
paper: real red, garden green, shimmery white, DSP candy cane christmas
ink: baja breeze, garden green, chocolate chip
accessories: key tag punch, ornament punch, big designer buttons candy cane, linen thread,
silver cord, chocolate chip marker, red stitched/polka dot ribbon

I have a Christmas card order to finish up and one of the models the customer chose was this one. Unfortunately, I didn't have anymore of that paper so I changed it out for the Candy Cane Christmas paper from the Holiday Mini. It's sparkly in real life but we all know how hard that is to capture of camera. : )

I so badly want to get to my stamp table this weekend but my back is buggered and it's rather uncomfortable at the moment. I try and bat my eyelashes at my husband to get him to give me a back rub and maybe I'll get to stamp this evening. I'm not holding my breath, though. ; ) Ske-doosh.

Inkspirations Challenge #48- Colour

stamps: merry crittermas, plus on est fous- plus on rit, simple snowflake
ink: espresso, red, olive, chocolate, kraft
paper: playdate DSP, olive, white, kraft
accessories: dazzling diamonds, two way glue, corner chomper, blender pen, scallop border punch, word window punch,
black medium eyelet, crop-o-dile, olive polytwill ribbon, espresso marker, dimensionals

What's up, beautiful blog readers of mine?! It's Friday and I couldn't be happier! I had one heck of a week and I'm really looking forward to spending the weekend doing NOTHING! I'm going to rent season 2 of my new guilty pleasure, Gossip Girl. I feel dumber for having watched the first season but it's kinda like poutine; you know you shouldn't love it but you do. I shall vegetate on my couch and be happy while doing it!

On to the paper goodies! I'm not a huge fan of making Christmas cards so when I saw the color combo for this week...well...I was dubious. It's a very Christmas-y combo. Fear not for me, my friends! Turns out, I love the card I made so it's cool beans. I took Merry Crittermas off my list 5 times before ordering it! Can you believe that? It's a super cute set and I'm glad it found it's way back on my list.

Don't forget to go check out the rest of the team's beautiful creations and PLEASE feel free to play along! Make sure you link back to the Inspirations Challenge Blog with your entry, too!

Have a wonderful day, everyone! Ske-doosh.

FS196- Happy Ruffles

I CASE'd this card for the Featured Stamper over at SCS. Jazzitobi is the honoree and I am now officially a fan of her work! She's got a clean, bright, funky style that I love. I encourage you to check out her gallery here. I chose this card to CASE. Enough blah blah, Wiggins! Get dressed and get to work! LOL! Ske-doosh.

Inkspirations Sketch Challenge #47- Friend of Lulu Ketto

I can't tell you how excited I am about my post today! A few weeks back, Makeesha Byl had a design team call on her blog. My upline, Cindy Major taunted me with it by sending me a link to the call...she knows me so well. I initially balked at the idea thinking that I was too busy. The idea of being on Keesh's already well loved team wouldn't get out of my head, though! I needed a reason to get stamping on a regular basis. So, to have a chance to hang out with this amazing team of women who make gorgeous stuff and stamp on a regular basis?! How could I not try out??
And that's just what I did! Thankfully, Keesh chose me and a few other rubber nerds to play with her! She's a good bean, that Keesh. There will be a separate blog for the Inkspirations Challenges from now on. I'm really looking forward to being a part of the team and I'm hoping to have a few of my readers jump on the bandwagon and take part in the challenges! So, without further ado...here's my first card:
stamps: lulu ketto by stamping bella, i [heart] hearts by SU!
paper: pear pizzazz, concord crush, whisper white, level one DSP pack (in color 2010-2011)
ink: daffodil, crush, pizzazz, black, poppy
accessories: pink paisly pleated ribbon, SU heart brads, dazzling diamonds glitter, SU rhinestones, blender pen

Head on over to the rest of the teams blogs to have a look at their sheer awesomeness, ok? Come back next week for the next challenge, too! Ske-doosh.
