Entrevue Lumière for Scrapbook Laurentides

So I have something pretty cool to share. I was asked to be interviewed for the Entrevue Lumière (Light Interview) on Scrapbook Laurentides which is a Boutique, Blog and Forum here in the province of Québec. I was extremely honored to be asked as a lot of my fave Québecoise scrappers hang out there. I think you all know that I'm truly a scrapper at heart. : )

J'aimerais dire un gros MERCI à Maryse Dupuis! Elle est une scrappeuse extraordinaire et super fine en plus!

Head over and check it out if you have some time today. It has been translated from English to French but the English part is still there.

AND, if you can...go check out some of the gorgeous photos that my friend Manon Dufour took last weekend of me and my kids. There's more to come but she knows I'm impatient so she gave me an avant goût! Ske-doosh.

Pedaling Past

Here's a sweet, fast card I made for a mini swap this weekend. I love the bikes in pedaling past...so cute! I kinda went MIA for a bit! The weather has been GORGEOUS here lately so I've been spending quite a bit of time outside. Summer in Chibougamau is so short that we have to take advantage while we can! Oh, and caught my first fish of the year today!!!

My buddy Pete and I went for a quick fishing jaunt after supper and I caught meself a pike! I put it back, of course. Pike are too bony and I suck at cleaning them. Here's a shot of my buddy Pete trying save his neck and ears from the blackflies.
And, finally...do I not live in a beautiful place? Ske-doosh.

Control Freaks May Blog Tour!!!

Welcome to the Control Freaks May Blog Tour!!! Our theme this month is the schnazzy new Summer Mini Catalogue. You've probably just arrived from Ilina Crouse's blog, My Creations. Seriously? Did you SEE that Sweet Scoops box??! She rocks, fo' sho'! If you haven't arrived from Ilina's blog, never fear! The tour does a full circle so you'll be able to see all the projects that these freaky freaks have laid out for you!

On with the squareheaded freak show!
This cute book mark was made with the gorgeous Island Oasis DSP and the First Day stamp set. I have to make another 15 of these bad boys for my son's daycare graduation at the beginning of June...eeep! I love this particular sheet of paper so much from the DSP pack that I used it on all three of my projects!
There's a reason that my oldest son, Logan, is holding this 5x5" card that I made with the Pedaling Past stamp set. I, once again, procrastinated finishing my projects until the very last minute and I needed to hurry and get my photos taken before the sun went down. The problem with taking photos outside is that you're at the mercy of the weather. It was *very* windy this evening so I needed the handsome Logan to hold my projects for me. Is that a sign that I need to stop procrastinating? Hmmmm...

I have to apologize for the glare on this project. Uhhh...it's the wind's fault? Ahem. Moving on...this page started out as a 8 1/2" x 11" scrapbook layout. The my youngest son, Skyler, decided that taking a pen and scribbling on the upper left hand corner of the layout is *exactly* what it needed. Sigh. Chop, snip, paste and VOILÀ! A pretty frame to hang in my entry to celebrate summer!!! Thanks Skyler!! LOL!

I hope you've enjoyed my projects for this month! Keep on clicking through the tour to head on over to Dannie Grave's blog and leave these freaks some LOVE!!! Ske-doosh.

Mini accordian file folder...

I found this awesome tutorial on the Scorpal website. It's very well done! I didn't have business sized envelopes so I used the 3.5 x 5 note card envies for it. For some reason, I always have a tonne of the envelopes left over...what am I doing with the notecards?? Huh. ANYHOO, check out the tute and have fun!!! Ske-doosh.

Mushroom muscles...

This is the last page from my scrap weekend and it's unfinished. I still have to put a title on it. What do you guys think of Mushroom Muscles? I dunno. Can't decide. I'm slowly getting things back in order at my house after having been away for a week. Not that Phil doesn't take care of bid-ness while I'm gone, but I feel like I've got laundry up to my ears. I just want to stamp and scrap and I can't get downstairs. Worse yet, I can't sleep. I lie there trying to sleep and it ain't happening. I think I'll drug myself with some Gravol tonight. ; ) Hopefully I'll have something to share with you guys this week. Ske-doosh.

8 1/2 x 11 Sky...

This is one of my fave pages of the scrap weekend. It's rare that we use such large photos on a layout but I think it works really well on the page. It helps that Skyler is mega cute, eh? So, I'm back at home after a week in Calgary. I'm very tired from travelling so I think I'll head to bed early tonight. Or maybe I'll scrap a page...or two...; ) I took some very funny shots of my big bro while he was bbq-ing. Stay tuned. Ske-doosh.

Logan the Tiger

Here's yet another scrapweekend page. I'm headed home tomorrow. I can't wait to see Phil and Logan. I've had a great time with my family but I'm looking forward to being home. Ske-doosh.

My 3 year old artist...

It seems like I've really been on a Skyler roll lately, eh? This was one of the challenge pages I did at my scrap weekend. I needed a rub-on, three different kinds of ribbon, a decorative pin, chipboard, a number, and a birdy. Kinda cool page, eh?

We had a lazy day here at Aunty Sandy's. Hung out, watched movies, watched Ziggy the bearded dragon drop a deuce. You know, fun stuff? Sky is missing Papa and Logan today. Me too. Ske-doosh.

Captain Pout Pants!!!

This is the face I'm dealing with since we arrived in Calgary. Poor Skyler is a bit out of sorts. He's away from Papa and Logan and around a bunch of new people that all speak English. I'm taking deep breaths and trying to be as patient as possible. I understand how he feels so I'm cutting him a lot of slack. I love my kid, I love my kid, I love my kid. Ske-doosh.

I'm the May WICKED stamper at SCS!!!

Very quick post to let you all know that I'm the WICKED stamper over at SCS this month!! Come check out the challenges! Here are the projects I made to get your creative juices flowing. I gave the mini chipboard album to my mom today. Pretty cool to be able to hand deliver this gift to my ma after not having seen her for 3 years.
My grandfather's memorial was today and it was wonderful to see all of the faces there. It's therapeutic celebrating his life with people who knew him well. As I type this post, I can hear my neice and nephew laughing in the next room while watching Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs. My brother and his wife, my aunt, my cousin Todd, Skyler and I are having pizza for supper. I've got a grin on my face the size of Idaho. Love it. Ske-doosh.
