Roomie & Buddy gifts...

This here's one of the 5 albums I made for friends and roomies at Convention. It's the same album as seen here. I love making this album with the Simply Scrappin' kits from SU. Like i said, I made 5 of them from ONE KIT! Huzzah!
I felt like quite the tool just giving one of these (coupled with some maple treats) as roomie gifts after the HAUL I received from Lisa and Sara. Next year i shall shower them with many, many gifts. LOL!
I'm off to bed. Tomorrow is grocery/ cleaning/ Bejeweled day. Once again, I curse you, Tink.

All About Me...

I'm part of a wonderful group of friends (I don't say "online friends" anymore as they have become a part of my daily life and mean a lot to me) that are, for lack of a better term, swapping maniacs. I think the only thing they don't swap are their spouses...ahem. Anyhoo, these chicks came up with a fantastic idea for when we were to all meet at Convention. I don't know who the freak was that thought it was a good idea to make 34 copies of an 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" layout "All About Me", but she turned out to be a genius, in my book. I will treasure the pages that these amazing women have made. Even Janine, who whined her way through the whole process. ;)
My journaling says:
Top 10 Words That Brandi Says Far Too Often:
#10 Huh?
#9 The "eff" bomb
#8 "estik"
#6 Whatever
#5 Stoked
#4 Mega
#3 "ben là"
#2 Totally
#1 DUDE!

So terribly clever, I am. Before anyone asks, "estik" is kinda the French equivalent of "darn" in English. "Ben là"? Well that's...ummm....kinda like..."pfffft"? I dunno. I just say it a lot. Cindy? Any help here?

On a good/bad note, I've decided to step down from the Scrap Review. I enjoyed being a part of the team and the ladies are a wonderful source of inspiration for me but I need to get some things in order in my life. I've become quite the heavyweight in the last few years and I don't fancy keeling over from a heart attack so I'm going to try and hop off the Chunky Monkey Mobile and lose some weight. I've discovered that I really don't use my time that wisely so me whining that "I haven't the time to go for a walk" ain't gunna cut it, homeslice. (I went for a long walk with my friend Nat today and I feel great about it.) Feel free to call me Fatty McButter Pants anytime you feel the urge. Good motivation and all that. Anyhoo, I'm going to miss being part of that genius team, but I encourage you all to keep visiting the Scrap Review even if my special brand of genius is utilized elsewhere...ahem.

This is the most blah blah I've done in a long time! That being said: Ske-doosh.

A lone elephant walks into a meadow...

Here was my Control Freaks convention swap. It was a real treat getting to meet up with the few Freaks that were able to make it to convention. I felt kinda like the nerdy kid on the park that gets to hang out with the cool kids. The talent in that group is awesome. We've got a cool group photo of us together but I don't have a copy of it. I'll have to beg someone to send it to me.

The clouds on this card are inspired from one of Andrea Walford's projects. It's such a neat way to make clouds. This card had a lot of cutting and assembling but I think it was worth it. It's a cute card, n'est pas?

We got back from vacation yesterday so I'm still scrambling to get stuff in order. We start work tomorrow after a wonderful 2 months off!! AHHHHHGH! Someone come do my laundry for me, ok? I'll give you a niiiii-ckle...(said in best sing-song voice). LOL! Enjoy the card and let me know what you think. Ske-doosh.

A few more pics...

Wendy Weixler (she's famous too, y'know?) with Thurl Bailey. I really wish she was on his shoulder! She is wee and darling and full of energy. I'm happy to have met her.
My upline, Cindy doing the conga with, well, the whole room at awards night. She's the red head in the satiny blue shirt. I'm so glad we got to hang out a bit while we were there!

Brent looks slightly psychotic in this photo. But his son is a cutie petootie so it's all good.

These two ladies were so sweet to me! I met them at the airport in Detroit and they were wonderful! I know the one on the left is Nancy but I can't for the life of me remember the name of the lady on the left!!! Please let me know if you know her as I lost her business card (and by lost, i really mean it's at the bottom of my convention purse that hasn't been emptied yet...). LeeAnne was at the airport too but I didn't ever get a picture of her! Hi LeeAnne!!
I have so many more photos so I'll continue to post them over the next couple of weeks. Yesterdays post was supposed to be my last pre-post of the night but I wanted to share just a few more pics. Now it's bed time for real. Ske-doosh.

Swap you, ya swappin' swapper.

Try as I might, I couldn't get the order of these pictures to flip and I'm too tired to start over.
This was a tutorial over on SCS that Angie Teiman did and she was kind enough to let me use it for an organized swap that Sharon was hosting. I got a chance to meet Angie at Convention and she is just as cute as a button. Her Artisan Award winning stuff was incredible!!! Hi Angie!
I may pre-post some stuff tomorrow morning. If not, I'll post the rest when I get home. I really need to go to bed. Forgive me! Ske-doosh.

Sistah gifts.

I made one of these for all my lovely Sistahs. I don,t know what I would do without these ladies now that they are in my life. A magnet butterfly is the least i could do. Really. LOL!

Swap, swap, baby.

This was from Krista's WOW technique swap. Shaker cards drive me insane to make so I'm surprised I made 15 of these. The worst part? Cutting out all the little nuts and bolts to go IN the shaker. Insanity, I tells ya. Ske-doosh.

This was my one layer card swap that Hoochie hosted. I suck at one layer cards but I gotta say, I really like this one. It's doodlicious. Sorry for the short posts but I'm pre-writing them all before I leave on vacation for a week. I'll come back later and post recipes and such. I'm too busy looking for cool rocks and seashells with my kids right now. Ske-doosh.

Swap it, sistah.

This little gem was from Paula's fancy fold/cards that move swap. I had a brief moment of panic as I searched everywhere for this card on Friday night thinking that I needed to swap it with a group at the meet and greet. Panic. Total panic. I ransacked the hotel room looking for this bad boy. Nowhere to be found. I come back downstairs to the bar where the SA Meet and Greet was being held, ready to throw myself on the mercy of the hostess when I realize that I had already swapped it, correctly I might add, at the SA sistah supper. Silly me and my rampant swap anxiety. Ske-doosh.

ETA: I used this tutorial from SCS to make this card.

Swappity swap swap.

I made about 38 of these but 23 of them were for the new catty swap that Sara hosted over on SA. Cuter than cute. Why is convention over? Whyyyyyyyyyyyyy? Ske-doosh.

More pics...

This is James, the Head Smarty Pants over at Stampin' Addicts. One of the nicest guys to ever have a harem.

James's wife Angie who has the most AWESOME accent. I love this woman.

Ellie the Squeeeeeeeeeler. She has enough energy to put the Energizer bunny to shame.

Queen Tink and I. I'm pleased to say that she is as funny in person as on her blog. Her head is marginally smaller, as well. ;)

I'm off to Convention!!!

I'm leaving tomorrow morning for Salt Lake City!!! I'm so excited, I can't even begin to tell you! I had great intentions of pre-posting my swaps for you to see but time got away from me. I'll definitely post them when I get back! Wish me luck!!! WOOT WOOT! Ske-doosh.
