Who's that handsome guy? That's my bro! His name is Toby and I miss him like the dickens. (what is a dickens, anyway?) Yup. So the purdy lady with him is his wife, Madawna, of...ummm...14 years, maybe? I think longer but we'll go with 14 just for poops and giggles. His two totally beautiful children are named Seth and Ayla. I think Toby stole all the good genes from our side of the family. I'm a sweaty fat kid but luckily for me and my kids, my husband is super hot so there gonna be allll riiiight. I'm happy to say that I'll be seeing them this summer as I'm going to be travelling home to Alberta for a week long visit. We get back to

Alberta about once every two years but this year I'll be going only with Skyler. It cost an arm and a leg to fly across this country! I could fly for the same price to England, probably. Well maybe not England but somewhere far away. What a rip off. Them's the breaks, I guess. I can't wait to see my friends and family! So if there are any demos in Calgary that are giving a cool stamp class or what not in the month of July, let me know! I'd love to see someone else's way of running things and, of course, stamps with some new ladies!! Kid screaming, gotta book. Slater skaters.

The quality of the photos on this bad boy are pretty bad. I humbly apologize. But I still love this page! It's from a calender that I made for my MIL. Doodle This has got to be about the most wiked awesome set that SU! has ever come up with. If I were the tattooing kinda chick...just joking. I already have a tattoo of a maple leaf and people often mistake it for a butterfly. Is that a good enough indication of exactly how BAD my tattoo is? Horrible, really. Even if I had the cash to get it removed (don't) and didn't have a serious low threshhold for pain (do), I'd still keep it until Logan and Skyler have passed that tattooing age (which will probably be about 14 and a half by the way kids are growing up too fast these days). I want to be able to show it to them and say, in preferably a really ornery old lady tone, "You see this thing on my leg? Ya, well, it USED to be a maple leaf. Now it looks like a really awful, wrinkly butterfly. So before you go and tattoo the Pink Panther smoking a joint on your ass, think of yo' mama's leaf/butterfly and give you head a shake. And while you're at it, get a haircut, ya bloody hippie!!!" Uhhh...I let myself roam a bit too much sometimes...erm...most of the time. I'm trying to convince Phil to tattoo the boys baby foot prints on his back but he keeps telling me he's not interested in any sort of shaving/ waxing scenarios that this would entail. He's a such a wuss. Any one seen the 40 year old virgin? Steve Carrell is like a hairless chihuahua compare to my hairy frenchman. Manly. I love that hubs of mine. I'm really all over the map tonight so I'm heading of to bed. Slater skaters.

Waiting for Skyler...

I know, I know. He's already here, my sweet Skyler. But all my new stuff is still on my camera and I, like I have previously stated, am a bit of a lazy bum when it comes to unloading my camera...and doing my dusting...and cleaning my fridge. And, let's just face it, doing any number of things that I'd rather put off in lieu of stamping and scrapping. I have the greatest of intentions but they rarely come to fruition when I have a hankerin' for a-stampin'. And hankerin' lately, I have a tonne of. I love my kids just as much as the next guy, but I can't wait for my weekend away with the girls to a scrapping retreat! 20 MORE SLEEPS!!! I'm going with a group of friends to the Scrapbook Laurentides weekend in St-Donat. We leave on the Friday morning and don't come home until the Sunday evening. A wholllllle weekend of scrapping without any where-are-my-underwear? interuptions (unless one of the girls I'm going with is SUPER-unorganized, maybe?) and no I-peed-my-bed wake up calls (again, only if one of the girls...lol!). I'm giddy with excitement about it and have actually been putting of page projects that I have in mind just so I can have tonnes of mojo when I get there. So, becuase of that, I'm posting an old page. I know you girls will love me anyway. Riiiiight? Right. Have a great day!

Chocolate withdrawl...

Easter is over and if I ever eat another piece of chocolate again in my life, it'll be too soon. A two and a half foot tall squirrel, a jeep and a Sponge Bob Squarepants were among the largest of the copious amounts of chocolate that Logan received for Easter. Who's the genius that decided that giving chocolate to small children for a holiday was a good idea? We spent the holiday down in Québec City at my in-laws. On the way down on thursday after Phil was finished teaching, Logan, poor little buddy, threw up in the car. It was the first time he has ever barfed (aside from spitting up as a baby, of course). The look of sheer panic on his face was enough to break my heart! He was looking at me as if to say "WHAT IS THIS STUFF COMING OUT OF ME?!?" It was a total blizzard outside and the poor little buddy was in his underwear on the side of the road while Phil rushed around trying to clean up the literal PUDDLE of barf from inside the car and i was trying to find clothes in the suitcase that was buried under a tonne of stuff that I insist on bringing down everytime we go and never end up using...won't make that mistake again, let me tell ya. Wow. That was a serious run on sentence. No one every said I was stellar at grammar. So anyway. I get Logan dressed and we crank the heat so he can get warm. What was Skyler doing through all this? Sleeping like the wee angel that he is. Not even 10 minutes later, Logan is asking if we have anything to eat in the car? "Can we go get some nuggets at kaka le clown, Maman?" Kaka le clown is McDonalds for those of you wondering. Long story already long, we drove down to QC in a car that smelled remarkable like rotten parmesan cheese. Awesome. So here's a card I made for my buddy Pete's b-day. (nice segueway, huh?) TFL.

Happy Easter!!!

Here's a case from the amazing Andrea Walford from her easter tutorial blitz. I made 20 of them for my oldest son's daycare. Have great Easter weekend, everyone!

The Nephews

We're heading down to Québec City for Easter and I wish I could bring my workshop with me! The most that Phil will let me bring is my Tote-ally Cool Tote so I'm going to disappear on Saturday for a few hours to a great little scrap store called Madame Scrapbouquine on Chemin St-Foy in QC. When I come back the big rush begins again in preparation for a couple of classes that I'll be giving. Anyone seen the new Class Planner by Andrea Walford? Take a looky-loo on the left for her link. Holy crikey! Is that woman talented or what??? I've decided I'm going to re-organize my workshop so I can start giving classes from home. Between suppertime, bathtime and bedtime, I have a heck of a time getting out of the house on time. I use a classroom at my husbands school to give classes usually but in the evenings, it's a pain in my tookus. I only have class sizes of 5-7 stampers at a time so I should be able to pull it off in the basement of our tiny house. My extremely supportive husband said he'll give me a hand next weekend so I'm going to be all set to give a mother's day class soon!
So this is a page I did a while back of Phil's nephews. I love the photo and am seriously digging the circles. Have a great weekend everyone and HAPPY EASTER!!! mmmm...chocolate....

Me boys...

I thought I'd take the time to post some pics of my boys. I talk about them quite a bit and am super proud of them so it's only right that I should let you guys know what they look like outside of a scrapbook page. They're 3D and everything! Logan is a mischievious wee one. This is the look he has on his face 95% of the time. He understands English and French but only speaks French. He's a sporty little boy and can already hit a baseball

farther than his mom. The sweet one with peas all over his face is Skyler. I would eat this kid up with a spoon if I could. He is still breastfed and my husband never misses a chance to let me know that he's a mama's boy. I'm all good with that because Logan is so much a papa's boy that I think it's only just that at least one of the males in my house thinks the sun rises and sets with me...or at least with my boobs. So there they are. Me boys in all their glory. I can't imagine my life without them and I hope I never have to. Have a great day!

Thanks to all my customers...

I just wanted to say a quick thanks to all my customers that made Sale-a-bration a big success for me! It was my first one and it was a great learning experience for me. Now I know that I'm capable of handling 7 workshops and 2 stampers club all in one month! Capable of handling, yes. Wanting to do it again?...hmmm. LOL! No, seriously, I had a great time and met a whole bunch of new people that are either already passionate about stamping or that soon will be! You ladies ROCK out LOUD!!!
So this card is a case from the tutorial on SCS done by Beate Johns on resist embossing (I think...). Eventually, I'm going to learn how to put links on my blog but haven't quite figured it out yet. My computer ineptitude knows no bounds. I should also start listing the recipes for my cards but I can blame that one on nothing but pure, unadulterated laziness. Hey, at least I admit it, right?
Skyler is right next to me at the computer and he is about a week away from pulling himself up on stuff. He's about half as curious as Logan was at that age which is a good thing because there were days when I wanted to buy a dog cage for him. He got into EVERYTHING!!! Skyler is more mellow. He did, however, try to drink out of the dog bowl of the pup we're dogsitting for some friends. It was a wet experience, to say the least. I think he'll be sticking to sippy cups from now on. Ahhh...can you smell that? Yup. Poop. A mothers work is never done...slater skaters.

Are we there yet?

Imagine me saying this in a whiney tone of voice. And by there, I mean at the end of sale-a-bration. It...is...slowly...killing...me. I'm joking, of course. Half joking, anyway. I'm loving the boost it's giving to my business but I honestly can't remember the last time I took a day off and did nothing. You know, blissful nothing...? No laundry. No lunches. No mom's groups. No planning. No stamping. WOAH! Wait just a minute there, meathead. No stamping? Let's not go over board. Woah. Whew. I must be tired to be talkin' such silliness. So, I shall finish the final blitz of sale-a-bration with a smile on my face and laugh my way all the way to the rubbah-bank when it's time to cash in on all those free sets I earned!!! Bwa-haha! Here's one of the cards I made for the swapping maniac a.k.a. Marie Kirkwood. It was a non-greeting greeting card. Such a clever swapper, that Marie. She's a swappin' mastah, homeslice. Swappity swap swap, ya swappers. I'm dragging my dumper to bed now. Slater skaters.

She shoots, she Scor-Pals!!!

I got my Scor-Pal yesterday!!! It is the best scrap gadget I've bought EVER! For my stampers club last tuesday, it took me 2 hours to prep and pre-score everything to make the project. For my second stampers club on thursday, it took me only 45 minutes to prep and pre-score everything!!! It may not end world hunger but, man oh man, I love it! Here's both projects from both clubs. TFL!
