I have a hard time digesting the fact that Skyler just turned one on Thursday. Not because I'm hankerin' to have more kids (we're done, in fact), but just because it seems to be going by way too fast. I have no qualms about admitting that when I see him moving along a little too quickly from couch to chair to table, I sometimes do a quick look from left to right and then sit him on his bum. LOL! He can't already be my little boy that is not too far from walking on his own? It's funny to think that I was actually wishing for him to be older not so long ago. I was sitting in our bedroom listening to him him cry at 3 a.m. and thinking, "Is he ever going to sleep through the night?" I know they all have to grow up and I'm sure there are a bunch of moms reading this saying, "Been there, done that." Does knowing that everyone goes through this icky feeling of their children growing up too fast make me feel any better about it? H-E-double-hockey-sticks NO! But I'm sure I'll live...maybe. ;)

One year old cutie patootie...

This is such a memorable page...really just gorgeous!
In my experience (3 boys 20, 16, and 10) I have found that I do the same thing at different times in their lives. I can't believe my oldest is choosing his career, that my middle son is driving, and that my youngest is now in the double digits. Seriously...where does the time go? Just don't blink! :o)
